There will be a brand new limited edition Chicago Cubs Dora the Explorer available to the first 5,000 fans age 7 and under at Wrigley Field on August 14, 2009.

This will be the second and final Ty Beanie giveaway at Wrigley Field in 2009.  May 2 was the Cubs Go Diego Go giveaway.

2008 Cubs Dora the Explorer

At the top of the page you will see the 2008 Chicago Cubs Dora the Explorer that was a Wrigley Field giveaway to the first 6,000 kids under the age of seven on April 19, 2008.

This is highly collectible and sought after Ty Cubs Beanie.  There’s a lot of Beanie Baby collectors out there, but not that many Cubs Beanie Babies actually made.  There are only 6,000 of these made, and they were never available in retail outlets, only as a limited edition promotion at Wrigley Field.  I would imagine that at least half of those probably were not kept in a collectible condition.

So what I’m saying is that if you see one of these and really want it, then don’t miss out and jump at the opportunity!
