Mark DeRosa : Still Not a Cub

CLEVELAND INDIANS Third Baseman Mark DeRosa with old “pal” Jim Hendry
Mark DeRosa: STILL Not a Cub ANY MORE. STILL.
Welcome to another edition of STILL NOT A CUB. In this installment, we will be reminding Cubs fans that Mark DeRosa is still not a Cub.
I’m sure you remember that the Chicago Cubs traded Mark DeRosa on December 31, 2008 to the Cleveland Indians;simultaneously ruining both your New Years Eve and the Chicago Cubs 2009 season.
You’re still hurting. You’re still mad. You still resent Aaron Miles because of it. Jim Hendry is still on your sh*t list because of it. You just know that if Mark DeRosa was here, he could have filled in in right field for Milton Bradley or third base for Aramis Ramirez while they were injured. DeRosa would have driven in those baserunners stranded on second and third with two outs. The Cubs would be in first place if only they had Mark DeRosa.
But…. this is important…..
Mark DeRosa is still not a cub. I know you want him back SOOOOOOO bad, but Mark DeRosa is still not a Cub. He is the third basemen for the Cleveland Indians now. He’s not coming back. There’s not going to be a trade for Mark DeRosa.
I’m sorry. I know it still hurts. You have to let it go.
