Tyler Colvin was the Chicago Cubs 2006 #1 draft pick in the MLB amateur draft out of Clemson. His minor league progress was slowed by an elbow injury and Tommy John surgery and his top notch prospect status began to disappear. In the Chicago Cubs 2010 spring training camp though, Tyler Colvin hit and performed so well that he played himself right into a spot on the major league team.
Now that Tyler Colvin has officially made the Chicago Cubs opening day roster, it’s time that you get yourself a Tyler Colvin rookie card to add to your Cubs baseball cards collection. The way that former Cubs #1 draft pick Colvin has been hitting, it could only be a matter of time until he plays himself into a starting position. He’s showing great hitting ability, is developing more power and can play any spot in the outfield. You could be looking at a future star in the making.
