So someone has finally gone and made a Ronnie Woo Woo documentary. If you don’t know who Ronnie Woo Woo is, then you haven’t been to enough Cubs games my friend. You might be able to avoid the guy for a few but eventually you’re going to hear the “Cubs Woo! Cubs Woo! Cubs Woo!” call of Mr. Ronnie Wickers.
Some people love him, some people can’t stand him, but he’s definitely a fixture around Wrigley Field. He’s certainly a character and adds to the atmosphere of Wrigleyville.
Woo Life is a documentary about Ronnie Woo Woo, featuring some life history, his place in Cubs fandom and his ultimate goal to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”.
I will give this movie a full review someday when I can find it. The official site claims it’s available through Netfix but when I tried to get it, the availability was listed as “unknown”. You can purchase Woo Life through Amazon if you’d like to though.
So whatever you think of Ronnie Woo Woo, I salute his devotion to the Chicago Cubs and this Old Style is for you buddy.
